I got to meet my brand new pseudo niece today. She is only like 2 days old. She is just a doll! She slept almost the entire time we were there. Both my husband and I got to hold her (along with everyone else) and that was just wonderful. I figured I would blog about my favorite picture of the little one...she is just "rock'in on" with her mommy!
I really would love a little kid-let of my own, but it is not in my cards right now. School is just too big, and having a kid would definitely put quite a kink in the plans. If it happens, it happens, and we would deal with it. I want to start "not worrying" about it happening on my 25th birthday. I want to have my kids while I am still young so I can enjoy my time with my husband once they leave the nest. The hard part is that my body wants a baby, and I have to deny that part of me for now. It is hard. I wonder how Dot would react to a baby. I am sure she would be very patient and protective. She is a great kitty.
Oh, and on the way home, we ran into a hot air balloon thing. It was the first time ever saw them in real life and tried to take pictures. If you click on the baby picture you can also find those on my flickr account.

I love fall!
I saw this picture on flickr by calobee and I just wanted to share it. I love the way the trees look like giant torches lit against the sky. Some change like apples, greens and reds fading into each other. I wish I had time to take wonderful pictures like this one!
I also made some new stuff last night. Three new pairs of earrings (okay, the third one is still a work in progress but I hope to get it done soon). I hope I have time to post them soon. I am also getting interested in PMC (precious metal clay) jewelry. I have ordered a book on Amazon to see if its really as neat as I think. The whole set up costs quite a bit of money, so I want to make sure that I can afford it before I buy all the stuff. I've already thought of my first project, though...a flat worm ring....go inverts!

What an Inspiration!
My husband found this website for me. I have a love for the macabre, so this site is right up my alley. Apparently there is a bread baker in Thailand that has started to model his bread after human body parts. This man has a great knack for the human form! Take a look, and see what I mean! I wish there was something around here like that...perfect for Halloween!

Elegant Pink Freshwater Pearl Bracelet
I recently went on a bracelet making binge. Most of them are purplish but I also have an experimental one that I have put up. It is a test of color, texture and shape contrast. I hope that it sells. The picture for this blog is the first bracelet I have ever made using real fresh water pearls. I hope to use more of them, I love the way real pearls feel! I am not big on pink, but I know plenty of other people are...so I hope all my pink stuff sells fast :)

Geisha Head Earrings
I finally updated my shop with four new pairs of earrings...man that feels good! It has been such a long time since I actually did a decent update. I have no idea when I will be able to craft up some more stuff...but maybe these new additions will help fuel the way for new stuff! My favorite pair I posted has to be my Geisha Head Earrings...they are just so cute and fun! Maybe they will make someone's Halloween costume perfect? All I know is that those beads were expensive...and I think these are the most expensive earrings I have in my shop!

OilSlick2
I finally got this puppy up on my Etsy shop. I hope to update more this week, but I have a big Confocal test to study for this weekend...so we will see! I have some earring to match this, plus some other cute earrings and a new necklace to add! Keep an eye out for new stuff.
